Hail the Snail #10

1 Jun

May 16th: The regular mailbox had a letter from Jody while the P.O. box had all sorts of cards, specifically a batch of Little Cards and two post-cards via postcrossing.

May 20th: Two more postcards via postcrossing came, as well as a letter from Kriston.

May 23rd: Pablo had another batch of Little Cards (but from another theme), and Manolo had a letter from Sarah.

May 26th: Thanks to Krista I received a postcard from Wonderland.

May 29th: Not only did I get something from the Secretary of State I was expecting, but I got Jody’s latest letter, too.

May 30th: I responded to Jody in time to get a letter from Allison.

May 31st: No letters yesterday, but the P.O. box had three more postcards via postcrossing, and the regular one had some freebies from St. Jude’s, in the hopes that I’d donate.

I got more postcards over the past couple weeks than there were days I got mail in this mail call, but I’m happy for all the mail I received all the same. I’m excited to see what will arrive now that it’s June, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the month has in store for us in general.

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

15 May

May 2nd: Like my last mail call, this one is also starting with a letter from Sarah.

May 3rd: Pablo had another letter for me as well as a batch of Little Cards, but Manolo had this set of Boxcar Children books for the Loganator:

Thanks, Mom!

May 5th: Along with my latest stamp order was a postcard from Krista and a letter from Jody.

May 7th: I got another postcard (from Kristy this time), and Gabe got a birthday card from my dad.

May 9th: Another card came for the birthday boy, and then this unbirthday present from my dad came for me:

May 10th: A letter from Sarah arrived, plus an ATC order of sorts from a family friend.

May 11th: Along with a letter from Kayla were two postcards from Wonderland.

May 12th: Joining my little reply pile was a letter from Allison.

May 13th: Though not “happy mail,” it’s worth mentioning that for Mother’s Day the boys gave me The Greatest Showman, a teddy bear, and the things the Loganator made at school.

The boys and I have enjoyed having Mother’s Day and Gabe’s birthday to celebrate this past week, and I think we have all enjoyed whatever happy mail the first half of May has had for us, too. As per usual, I’m looking forward to seeing what the rest of the month has in store for us as well as the mailboxes.

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

April 18th: My last mail call ended with a letter from Sarah, and this time it’s starting with one… plus her batch of Little Cards.

April 19th: Next to arrive was a letter from Jody. No LCs, lol, but I did get details about her recent vacation πŸ™‚

April 20th: Pablo had a batch of Little Cards as we as a postcard that took 57 days(!) to get here from Poland.

April 21st: The next letter to arrive was one from Kristy.

April 24th: And the next postcard to arrive came for Logan thanks to my dad.

April 25th: Even more postcards arrived, but per an Etsy order of mine.

April 27th: Pablo had another batch of Little Cards while Manolo had these clothes for Bridget:

April 28th: The last official letters in April were from Allison and Jody, though yesterday…

April 30th: Supplementary materials arrived from both Allison and Kristy, along with some Arby’s coupons from my dad, lol.

As usual, I’m grateful for all of the happy mail I have received over the past month, and I’m looking forward to seeing what Manolo and Pablo have in store for me in May. Gabe might even get some happy mail, too, with his birthday happening next Wednesday, hehe.

All the best, Bleaders!
Sincerely, Kate ~!~

15 Apr

April 2nd: April started with a batch of Little Cards in the P.O. box and a letter from Kayla in the regular one. Enclosed with the latter was one of my Con/Dom Gnomes, hehe.

April 4th: The next time I checked the P.O. box I was rewarded with this cute postcard:

April 5th: Pablo had yet another postcard while Manolo had Jody’s letter.

April 6th: Sarah’s letter arrived here next.

April 7th: Not only did Pablo have two more postcards via postcrossing, he had the last batch of Little Cards from March’s theme– I’ll share the set soon.

April 9th: Speaking of sharing, my dad sent Logan a Puzzle Buzz sample he originally received.

April 12th: A few days later Logan and I found this gem in the P.O. box:

Translation: “Dad? This is a high emergency case!”

April 14th: Yesterday was the only day this past week that I got any Manolo love, but it was in the form of letters from Kayla and Sarah so I suppose I really can’t complain πŸ˜›

Something I might complain about is if we become one of the places that loses power this weekend due to the winter storm we’ve been experiencing. But at least I have books to read and the letters from yesterday to respond to, though I’m sure I’ll keep writing Kayla and Sarah today whether we lose power or not, hehe.

Stay warm and think spring!
Sincerely, Kate ~!~

March 16th: Towards the end of my last mail call I said “Jody’s letter must have gotten lost.” Well, I found Jody’s letter in one mailbox, plus a postcard from a Kate in Russia in the other.

March 17th: Because we thought her letter was lost, Jody sent a rewrite and that came today, lol.

March 20th: Though food from Figi’s would have been delightful, I think the boys were delighted to get wallets out of the box my dad sent.

March 21st: I got a letter from Sarah out of our mailbox next.

March 26th: Also from Sarah was her batch of Little Cards per the Fairies and Friends theme.

March 28th: I heard from Jody again– on time this time πŸ˜‰

March 31st: And just when I thought I’d only get mail from Jody and Sarah the second half of March, I received this notebook letter from Allison:

Though neither the boys nor I will be getting any more happy mail today, it’s Easter so there will still be some other fun things in store for us. We hope you and yours have a nice holiday, and that since it’s also April Fool’s Day that everyone plays nicely, too πŸ˜‰

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

15 Mar

March 1st: The mail I received on my birthday was a birthday card from Gabe’s grandparents, as well as a postcard from a postcrosser from Germany.

March 2nd: I came home from a fun-filled day with my mom to a letter from Sarah and note cards to write letters on from Nicole.

March 3rd: Three(!) more letters arrived, and both of the mailboxes each had a postcard for me.

March 5th: Last week started with a random package for Logan from his Papa Halvorson.

March 6th: Though Ashley’s box and the BABW package were mainly for me, Logan got a couple more things out of those, too.

March 7th: Thanks to Kristy, this unbirthday present arrived next:

March 8th: Pablo had another two postcards for me as well as a batch of Little Cards.

March 9th: Kayla thought I could use an unbirthday present (a bookmark) as well:

March 13th: The last of the Little Cards per February’s “Disney Couples” theme arrived– I’ll be showing ’em off a week from now.

Though it’s been over a week since I have gotten any letters (Jody’s latest must have gotten lost), I’m pleased as punch with all of the happy mail I received this month so far. As per usual, I’m looking forward to seeing what the mailboxes will have for me as the month progresses, and I’m also looking forward to the rest of March in general. I’ll tell you why when I post “Dear March” next Tuesday πŸ˜‰

Until next time!
Sincerely, Kate ~!~

1 Mar

I’ll get to the happy mail I received since the 15th momentarily, but first I want to tell you that today is my birthday! At the moment I’m just hanging out until it’s time to pick up the Loganator from school; he has a half day today so the three of us will be going out for lunch. Sadly Gabe has work to do afterwards, but this afternoon Logan and I are planning to bake cupcakes and open the packages I started receiving a little over a week ago. Okay, we opened the box from my dad when we got it and the package from Build-a-Bear Workshop on the anniversary of when I made Bridget, but I saved everything else until today! I’ll mention all of the packages throughout this mail call as I received them, but it will be in an upcoming blog post where I actually write about the contents from the things I’m opening today.

February 15th: No packages just yet πŸ˜‰ , but Logan got a belated Valentine from his grandparents while I got a letter from Jody.

February 16th: Someone I used to send postcards to via my Postcard Posse surprised me with this:

In case you can’t read it, the card basically says she still appreciates my time and energy after all this time and the circumstances in between. How cool is that?

February 20th: Our mail carrier dropped off a postcard from Krista, an envie from Sarah, and a Mad Hatter outfit for Bridget from my dad. Then UPS dropped off four additional packages– two were from Sarah and the other two were from my mom.

February 21st: The P.O. box had a letter from Kriston while the regular mailbox had one from Kayla along with another package courtesy of my mom.

February 22nd: Yet another package arrived from my mom– this one is the one from Build-a-Bear Workshop πŸ˜‰

February 23rd: No packages today, but it was still a good mail day because I got a letter from Jody.

February 24th: In honor of Bridget’s birthday, I opened the package from the 22nd and this outfit was half of its contents, hehe:

For the record, when the mail came, the opened package was replaced with one from Thriftbooks. Thank you, Bessie!

February 26th:Β Two more packages came via Thriftbooks, and Sarah’s batch of Little Cards came along with ’em.

February 27th:Β It was a great day for firsts via the P.O. box! I got 1) my first letter from a new pen pal named Tonya, 2) my first two postcards since rejoining Postcrossing, and 3) some wonderful extras along with the first Little Cards from the newest adventurer.

Well, Bleaders, I think it’s about time I stop telling you about the happy mail I received recently, and start having myself a happy birthday. All the best!

Sincerely, Kate ~!~
