Hail the Snail 2.39

1 Nov

October 16th: My last mail call ended with me expecting a letter from Allison and a box from Sarah. The former came today.

October 18th: Sarah’s box took a bit of a scenic route to get here, but it was the next to arrive all the same.

October 19th: I recently finished one set of address labels, and I’m less than 10 labels away from using up another. It’s because of this I got a new set of address labels via vistaprint 😀

October 21st: The stamps I ordered followed next, but they weren’t alone! I also got letters from Ashley and Jody plus a postcard from Wonderland.

October 23rd: As of last Monday I had half of the Little Cards per October’s Tricks &/or Treats theme.

October 28th: And Little Cards were all I received last week– Pablo had two more batches!

October 30th: Logan came home with his first batch of Scholastic books in first grade, and thanks to Jody, Kayla, and Krista, I got a bunch of reading material, too.

October 31st: Logan got everything in the picture below last night(!), while I got a treat in the form of Justine’s letter.

I hope your Halloween was happy one, bleaders, and that your November is full of many things to be thankful for.

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

October 7th: Not only did I get a batch of Little Cards and Logan his first letter from Emma, we received his firefighter uniform (for Halloween/ kicks and giggles). How amazing is this?!

October 10th: After the long weekend, my patience was rewarded with a letter from Kristy.

October 11th: Though there was no happy mail on Wednesday, I did get another pair of leggings thanks to Jen, hehe.

October 12th: I got a letter from Sarah next, and she sent me a Halloween card, too.

October 13th: I finished responding to Sarah just in time to receive Jody’s letter.

October 14th: I received the last of the Little Cards per the American Horror Story theme– tune in tomorrow to see the little set 😉

This mail call may be shorter than these posts usually are, but there was still quite a bit of happy mail, eh? This week should have even more between recent orders (like new address labels!) and mail Allison and Sarah told me to anticipate, hehe. Hope the rest of October has fun treats in store for you, too!

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

September 16th: My first and last letter from the week of the 11th, Krista’s, came that Saturday.

September 18th: The following week, however, I got Sarah’s letter right on Monday.

September 19th: Then Jody’s letter arrived the very next day.

September 20th: Logan got some of his own “reading material” next thanks to the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds.

September 22nd: I now got the book Curiouser and Curiouser by Melanie Karsak. I also got Kayla’s letter and Sarah’s latest Little Card.

September 23rd: Back to Logan! Today’s delivery was There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat by Lucille Colandro.

September 25th: Logan’s happy mail continued in the form of pictures from my dad, while I got this cute LaPapierre stationery:

September 26th: It’s always a good mail day when I hear from Justine!

September 27th: Joining my little reply pile were letters from Jody and Krista.

September 28th: My dad now sent Logan an odd puppet. If you want to see how odd, by all means google Boglin Slobster, lol.

September 29th: Logan also received his first issue of Boy’s Life— a scouting magazine.

*Here is where I should have wrapped this up like a Christmas present, but I forgot to do so on Sunday, and then assumed I still did it the following days– whoops! Oh well; that just means I can add this week’s fun haul… 😉

October 2nd: If I would have started the next mail call here like I was supposed to, it would start with this wonderful surprise Allison sent along with her letter:

October 3rd: My dad sent me half a sheet of postcard stamps. A bit peculiar, but I’ll take it!

October 5th: Yesterday was full of so much happy mail! Logan got a postcard from his teacher and a letter from a friend, while I got letters from Jody and Kayla, Halloween leggings via Jen and her mailbox, and this awesome stuff from Ashley:

I hope you enjoyed seeing everything half as much as I liked getting it all, because then you still would have liked this a lot! 😉 I love the group of pen pals I have acquired, and how they make me feel like I’m hanging out with close friends even if I’m completely alone– which happens quite a bit this time of year. That said, it’s about time I go “hang out” with Kayla. Take care and tune in next time!

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

August 15th: No happy mail to speak of just yet, but a very happy boy started first grade. Check out how much he grew since his first day of kindergarten!

August 16th: You want to know what the mail call portion of this post is starting out with? UNDERWEAR, that’s what!

August 17th: This Michigan girl received a couple MI postcards from another one, haha.

August 18th: Another postcard came today, this time from Kira.

August 19th: From somewhere over the rainbow came the Wizard of Oz set of Little Cards 😉

August 21st: I received a handful of letters last week, and the first one was from Jody.

August 22nd: Manolo had a letter from Ashley next, while Pablo had one from Charmaine.

August 24th: Joining my little reply pile was a letter from Kayla.

August 26th: The last letter from last week was from Sarah, and like the Saturday before, I got some Little Cards, too!

August 30th: This week’s first letters were from Jody and Krista, and the first postcard was from the latter as well.

August 31st: As for the first package, that was from Sarah and it included everything in this picture minus the socks and floor, haha:

With the Loganator back in school, it was great to have so much happy mail to keep me, well, happy. I’ve been slowly implementing a new routine, but it’s nice to break up the monotony with something more fun. Sort of like how this uneventful small town of mine has their annual Bean Festival going on this weekend, haha. I hope you all enjoy your Labor Day weekend, and that September is an awesome month for you… and my mailbox 😉

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

17 Jul

July 4th: The holiday meant no mail, and in the meantime I decided 8 of my pen pals would each get one of these to fill in for me, hehe:

July 6th: The first mail I actually got since the first was a letter from Kristy.

July 10th: And the first letter I got last week was one from Jody.

July 11th: I got a postcard from Kira over at Letters, Postcards and a Cup of Tea.

July 12th: Did you notice that I didn’t get a letter from Jody until the 10th this month? Well, we thought it was missing so her rewrite came today, lol.

July 14th: Manolo not only hooked me up with letters from Ashley and Justine, but with this adorable purse “from Gabe” for our anniversary (that’s on the 30th, FYI!):

July 15th: As for Pablo, so far my one and only piece of mail from my P.O. box has been a thank you card (and ATC) from a member of ATC the Change.

All in all, it’s been a pretty good month so far, both in the mail department and out of it. Sure, Gabe has been rather busy with wheat harvest (and sometimes Logan’s rather busy with it too if he’s not with his grandparents, hehe), but I’ve been busying myself with many a Change Card along with chores and hobbies like pen palling. The second half of this month should be even better yet. Gabe and I are seeing Queen with Adam Lambert in concert this week, our 7th wedding anniversary happens 10 days later, and I’m sure when Gabe’s not working, the boys and I will find other fun things to do before Logan starts school in another month.

Hope you’re enjoying your summer!
Sincerely, Kate ~!~

Little Cards: March

26 Apr

This morning it has been finalized that 5 of my fellow “adventurers” will be making ATCs reflecting a childhood memory, and 7 of us will be making ones in honor of the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean movie. While we make May’s Little Cards (and I continue to wait for the last of April’s to arrive), I thought I’d hold us all over with the sets from March!

Enchanted:

Dr. Seuss:

Quick shout out to Gabe for helping me with the burnt edges of my Lumiere ATCs in the first group! And in case you’re curious, the Green Eggs and Ham ATC in the second group is also my creation 🙂

Although I don’t have all of the Bunny and Romantic Comedy cards from April yet, I’d still like to say that this month marks a year and a half of Little Cards on Big Adventures! When Jenn and I made our group, I don’t think I really expected us to still be picking out themes come 2017, but now I definitely hope we have at least another 18 months of ATCs, hehe.

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

Hail the Snail 2.25

30 Jan

Much like my last mail call, this is a bit messed up since I should have posted some of the following on the 15th. Blogging just hasn’t been a priority over the past month or so, but hopefully as the year progresses I can begin to prioritize Sincerely Kate a bit better again. Well, without furter ado…

January 5th: I got a couple ATCs from a trade I made, and Logan got one, too 🙂

January 6th: We got a belated Christmas card from my brother Erik and his wife, an early Valentine-friendly package from Sarah, and some of the birthday presents I ordered for the Loganator.

January 7th: Another package from Sarah came today– meet the Gnomlins!

gnomlins

January 10th: Just stories from Sarah this time, but there were packages from Amazon and LulaRoe. And Pablo had a couple ATCs, too.

January 12th: Jody’s letter accompanied another Amazon box.

January 13th: The last of the birthday presents we ordered for the Loganator arrived along with stickers via Pipsticks, an ATC per a private trade, and a letter from Charmaine.

January 17th: The Loganator got a present from Sarah as well as a birthday card, while I got the set of Christmas Carols Little Cards and the postcards I ordered.

January 18th: Both of the boys received postcards– Gabe’s was from my pen pal, Justine, and Logan’s was from me!

January 19th: Another five birthday cards came for my (now) six-year-old, and a bunch of ATCs came for me.

January 20th: Thanks to Kira I received two Postcards from Wonderland.

January 21st: Sandwiched between birthday festivities for Logan were letters from Jody, Kari, and Kristy.

January 23rd: The birthday boy got some happy mail from Ashley, while I got a letter from Whitney, a Disney Pocket Letter from Jenn, a few ATCs, and more stickers via Pipsticks.

January 24th: Logan and I had even more happy mail between Sarah, Nicole, Krista, and Ashley.

January 26th: I got another turn with the stories Sarah and I have been writing together.

January 28th: A letter from Sarah came today along with the last of the Little Cards per my Zodiac theme and another miscellaneous ATC.

I think that’s everything, though I might have forgotten a birthday card for Logan here and there since I’m not used to tracking his mail. He definitely has appreciated everything he has gotten though, so much so Gabe and I picked out a couple Valentine’s Day cards we’ll be sending him soon, hehe. Thanks to everyone who sent any of us anything– you flop our mops ❤

Sincerely, Kate ~!~
