Hail the Snail #3

15 Feb

February 1st: Thanks to Pablo, February started with a letter from Rose, a postcard from Wonderland, and two batches of Little Cards.

February 2nd: The first thing I received via Manolo this month? A letter from Kayla.

February 3rd: Waiting for Logan when we got home from Monster Jam was a postcard from his Papa Halvorson and a belated birthday card from a pair of great-grandparents.

February 5th: One mailbox had a letter from Sarah while the other had one from Kriston, a potential new pen pal.

February 7th: A box of odds and ends from his Papa Halvorson arrived for the Loganator.

February 8th: Another belated birthday card also arrived for Logan. I, on the other hand, got a letter from Jody.

February 10th: I didn’t receive any letters, but I got my very first order via Legging Army. This worked out quite well because I finished the book Queen of Babble. 😀

February 12th: Papa Halvorson sent a second box our way, though this one was for me and it contained this wonderful unbirthday present:

February 14th: This mail call started with a couple batches of Little Cards, and now it’s ending with the last batch per the Legendary theme. I’ll post about the set soon!

For now, though, I’ll tell you that besides a rough morning, the boys and I had a pretty good Valentine’s Day. Logan brought home quite the adorable haul from his class party while Gabe enabled yours truly to get the stamps I wanted– they were tucked into this cute little mailbox he found, hehe:

As for the actual mailboxes, they’ve been treating us pretty well this month, and I’m looking forward to seeing what the rest of February has in store for us.

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

January 18th: Although it’s not necessarily happy mail, it’s worth mentioning that I got the stuff to renew my ID.

January 19th: Sarah sent me a letter while my nephew Jack sent me and the boys a thank you note (with some help from his mom).

January 20th: And thanks to Jack and his parents, Logan received his first birthday card this year. Also in the mail? These amazing leggings Justine surprised me with:

January 22nd: The Loganator received even more birthday mail, I got a letter from Jody, and–not to be left out–Gabe got a couple magazines despite never subscribing to either.

January 23rd: I’m pleased to report that Logan’s birthday was a happy one, and that I got happy mail from Krista, Kristy, and Sarah.

January 26th: Last week ended with a stamp order in one mailbox and a batch of Little Cards in the other.

January 29th: I received a letter from Jody and two postcards from Wonderland, and thanks to Sarah, Logan received his new DreamTent– he totally approves!

And I, of course, approve of everything I/we have gotten, haha. Thanks to everyone who sends us happy mail every time you send it, and to you for reading this now 🙂

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

Hail the Snail #1

15 Jan

I have been doing these “Hail the Snail” posts for about 4 years now, and mail calls in general a bit longer yet. That said, this is hardly the first post of its kind, but from now on the New Year means the count starts over. Welcome to the second “Hail the Snail #1” post– it won’t be the last 😉

January 2nd: 2018 started with happy mail from both of my mailboxes. Pablo (my P.O. box) had a batch of Little Cards, while Manolo (our regular mailbox) had letters from Jody, Krista, and Sarah, as well as this amazing edition of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland thanks to my mom.

January 4th: Although it was my unbirthday, the contents of the Amazon package that arrived won’t officially be mine until March 1st is a bit closer.

January 8th: More unbirthday presents arrived thanks to Sarah.

January 9th: I got a letter from Kayla, though the contents in the envelope from my dad could be considered unbirthday presents, too.

January 10th: When it comes to Manolo love, Kristy was nice enough to send me cookies to have with Justine’s letter. As for Pablo, I was gifted with the last batch of Little Cards per December’s theme.

January 11th: The little letter streak continued with one from Sarah.

January 12th: And then it ended with one from Jody.

Whether I received a bunch of happy mail at once like on the 2nd, or it was spread out over a few days like last week, I’m ecstatic that 2018 has started off on such a high note as far as my incoming mail is concerned! Logan’s birthday is about a week away, so I’m sure between the two of us the high will continue as we move into the second half of January.

I hope the first half has treated you well, by the way, and that 2018 gives you many a reason to be ecstatic, too.

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

31 Dec

December 15th: It might have just been a postcard, but it came from Kira over in Finland which automatically makes it awesome, hehe.

December 19th: Some Christmas goodies came next– a card from Kristy and presents from Logan’s Uncle Doug and Aunt Jessica!

December 20th: And of course no Christmas is complete until we get something from Figi’s, courtesy of my dad.

December 21st: A few more Christmas cards came (and one of those came with a Chipotle gift card– thanks Erik and Mindy!), and I also received a new series to read. The timing was perfect because I finished Before I Fall that same morning!

December 22nd: In addition to yet another Christmas card was a letter from Jody and a batch of Little Cards per the Clothes/Accessories theme.

December 26th: Logan received a Lego set from his Uncle Erik and Aunt Mindy, while I received two pieces of mail from Krista… though the one with Box Tops was basically for Logan, too 😛

December 27th: Both mailboxes had a Christmas card for me. Manolo’s was from Allison, and Pablo’s was from Charmaine.

December 30th: The last letter I received this year was from Sarah!

And this will be the last blog post of mine this year! Over the past couple months it became apparent to me that though I’m no longer interested in having a strict posting routine, I do need to have some sort of schedule or Sincerely Kate flounders a bit. That said, I have quite a few plans for this blog in 2018! This Hail the Snail series is safe, for the record, though the number accompanying the title will change since the 2.40-whatever has gotten ridiculous, lol. Take care, Bleaders, and I’ll talk to you in the new year!

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

1 Dec

November 15th: The Christmas presents I mentioned ordering at the end of my last mail call? The first of them arrived.

November 17th: And the issue I mentioned regarding our “street” mail turning up in our P.O. box? Yeah, that still happened since Pablo had Justine’s letter.

November 18th: Another order arrived, and thanks to the inclusion of Bridget’s new kicks here, the shipping was free, lol.

November 19th: It’s a good thing I checked the P.O. box again– there were two more letters as well as a postcard from Wonderland in there.

November 21st: Christmas presents arrived for the Loganator (shh!), and some LaPapierre stationery came for me.

November 22nd: It’s worth mentioning that Logan got a Boy’s Life magazine while Gabe got a GQ one 😛

November 24th: Getting a letter from Kristy, even from the wrong mailbox, was a much better deal than anything I could have gotten via Black Friday 😉

November 25th: Not only did Kayla send me a letter, she sent the 5th postcard I needed per yesterday’s Wonderland-friendly post!

November 27th: Joining my little reply pile was a letter from Jody.

November 28th: The reply pile got a reprieve since instead of any letters, we received a present for our nephew.

November 29th: Not only did I acquire some Christmasy stamps at the post office, but a batch of Little Cards, too.

There was quite a bit of mail to be thankful for this month, and –*knocks on wood*– as of this week it all seems to be going where it’s supposed to! My mail carrier, Cindy, didn’t have any concrete answers for me regarding what was going on, but she did find out there was some sort of “tie” to the P.O. box that should be severed now. We’ll find out this month, I guess, and I’ll surely find more happy mail, too.

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

Postcards from Wonderland #15

30 Nov

It took several months to accumulate the several postcards below, but to me they were worth the wait! Heck, sometimes I think it would be worth joining Postcrossing again just to acquire more postcards from Wonderland, hehe. Thankfully I have people like Kayla and my dad to supply some, and people like Othella and Sarah to fill ’em out in the event they’re empty– these people were responsible for these:

I love how many interpretations of Alice in Wonderland there are, and how well this post proves it. Whether the next trip down the rabbit hole is less varied, or it takes another 8 months, I’m excited for the next five postcards all the same.

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

1 Nov

October 16th: My last mail call ended with me expecting a letter from Allison and a box from Sarah. The former came today.

October 18th: Sarah’s box took a bit of a scenic route to get here, but it was the next to arrive all the same.

October 19th: I recently finished one set of address labels, and I’m less than 10 labels away from using up another. It’s because of this I got a new set of address labels via vistaprint 😀

October 21st: The stamps I ordered followed next, but they weren’t alone! I also got letters from Ashley and Jody plus a postcard from Wonderland.

October 23rd: As of last Monday I had half of the Little Cards per October’s Tricks &/or Treats theme.

October 28th: And Little Cards were all I received last week– Pablo had two more batches!

October 30th: Logan came home with his first batch of Scholastic books in first grade, and thanks to Jody, Kayla, and Krista, I got a bunch of reading material, too.

October 31st: Logan got everything in the picture below last night(!), while I got a treat in the form of Justine’s letter.

I hope your Halloween was happy one, bleaders, and that your November is full of many things to be thankful for.

Sincerely, Kate ~!~
