If you’ve spent five minutes on this blog of mine, you are now well aware that my name is Kate and I absolutely love sending and receiving mail. I first found pen palling the year I graduated high school. 18-year-old Kate had no immediate plans to attend college, but I missed writing and had a bit of an epiphany one day when I was checking the mail. Over a dozen years later pen palling has always been my favorite hobby, and this blog is a reflection of that.
I used to have a rather obsessive schedule where I blogged on the 5th, 10th, 15th, etc. of every month, and when I loosened the reigns, there were months where I only posted a couple mail calls. My hope for 2018 is to have a happier medium between the two. Wish me luck! I hope you enjoy reading the blog posts I have here as much as I enjoy/ enjoyed putting them together. They come with love from me to you!
Sincerely, Kate ~!
Hi. Thanks for following our blog, The Adventures of Jaydon and Daddy. d:~)
Hi Kate, I’m from “Music Themes”. Thank you for the fun ideas posted on you mother’s blog. 🙂 I really enjoyed them. I’ve never even heard of the Phantom Barber. The music in Nightmare Before Christmas is surprisingly GOOD. Bette is always outstanding. Thank you. Bear
Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet Street is definitely a good movie to watch this time of year– all of “my mom’s” contributions are from great Halloween friendly movies, hehe. Glad to hear you enjoyed the blog!
🙂
I probably don’t say it as often as I should but your blog is very special to me and I’ve nominated you for 3 awards. Yes. Three. http://wp.me/sQUCq-rewarded . Much love!
Dear Collaborator
I am going to “publish” my “Home for the Holidays” blog post early. I shall be away from the computer and may miss posting altogether if I don’t do it now. In anticipation of you joining in on Christmas, I have included you in the list of Themists. 🙂 Thank you for all that you have done.
Merry Christmas
Bear
Aww, okay and you’re very welcome! Merry Christmas!
you may not remember or know me at all, but i was once a recipient of your WOMEN’S SKIRT AWARD. knowing you’ve created this award i think you belong to my list of inventive bloggers
inventive is synonymous to original, as creative is to innovative and more, i think you deserve to be cited and awarded at http://kintal.wordpress.com/?p=2638. Merry Christmas 🙂
Oh my gosh, thank you so much! And thanks for following this little blog of mine. Merry Christmas to you, too!

As the musical themes idea has evolved beyond the comfortable reach of some of us, and for now, anyway, some of us again have access to the resources that make it possible to have fun with this sort of thing, I am letting you know there is a “new” version starting with the first “new” blog posting Thursday, February 20, 2014. Rather than Music Themists we shall call ourselves CRITICALLY CONFUSING CRYPTICS or CCC .
Bear has chosen the first subject (theme) MAYA माया which fits quite well with our handle. Eva will pick for Thursday, February 27, 2014 . We shall have some fun!!! er, barring unforeseen circumstances, which we shall detour around, again, if need be. 🙂
Soon,
Critically Confusing Cryptic Bear

Hi
I just wanted to let you know that I have nominated you for a Liebster Award. This award is awarded to bloggers with under 200 followers who have an interesting blog. You can see the post on my blog and if you are interested in nominating people yourself there are instructions on what to do! 🙂
I nominated you because I really enjoy seeing your blog posts. 🙂

Hi,kate! I don’t know if you still remember me but I was the blogger behind The Moody Reader. 🙂 I checked that blog one last time and I saw your comment on my about me page. I’ve moved, actually, and this is my new book blog. Hope you are doing well! 🙂
I was wondering about you– I just thought you were really busy with life and whatnot. Thanks for the update!
Hey nice blog 🙂 Keep writing….Best of luck to you! ❤
Nice to see someone still writing the old fashioned way! When I was in 8th grade (c 1977) my best friend in the world moved a dozen states away. We spent the next 30 years writing letters. We still keep in touch via email but I miss the personal feeling of getting an actual letter!
I got a question for you…I just got myself a PO Box number and I am debating whether or not to list it in a blog entry or do as you did in your profile.
The reason mine is in my “About Kate” section is so that way anyone who clicks it will find the address. If you put it in a blog entry, people will only find it if/when they click that particular post, and it will get buried as you write new things.
Ok that makes sense. I guess I can put it in my profile..:)
Your call, of course, but I think that would be an excellent place for it 😀
Kate, your blog is really fun and unique to you.
