Little Cards: August

10 Sep

I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I recently received all of these ATCs per August’s Adventures:

Fairs and Festivals:

Disney Sidekicks:

The bad news? August was Jenn’s last month being my cohost via Little Cards on Big Adventures. She still has every intention of participating in my swaps, like the American Horror Story one currently in progress, but the more time she spends off of Facebook, the more sense it made for her to step down. Eventually I may recruit someone to host a second swap each month, but for now we’ll just have my monthly one as we all find our footing on this leg of our adventure.

And it is because of this adjustment period that now is a good time to join us on this trip if you enjoy making ATCs! In our Facebook group, I’m encouraging each member to nominate what theme they’d like to do in October, and putting my favorites to a vote when the month gets closer. Every vote counts– even yours *wink, wink; nudge nudge*

Well, whether you join Little Cards on Big Adventures, or just join me here next time, take care and stay lovely!

Sincerely, Kate ~!~

i just participated in a three swaps (all in the same FB Group). Two are going to the same person and one is too a different person. This was a test run for me on many levels. One to see if I could handle it (and I think I did okay until I had to get a new car) and to see if I would be able to do it frequently. I know I won’t be able to participate in a lot of swaps. It can be expensive just to send the swaps out cost me $25. To me that’s a lot and if I do it every month. I would get anxious. So I am hoping to do some a couple of times a year.

Now I have a question for you. I also have a pen pal blog (slight plug there) and I am wondering how much do you write about each letter? I am actually reviewing your archives to get an idea.

The ATC swaps I organize are the only ones I participate in. Anything other than small cards just adds up too fast to want to commit to more than that!

As for letters, I don’t write about each letter individually. Twice a month I just chronicle what I received via my Hail the Snail posts.

Agreed. Actually I have adopted that method this month myself . The other posts talk about situations (such as boundaries, suggestions and ideas etc

Thanks so much…have a great day.
